The Fort Kearny Conference announced its all conference volleyball teams for the 2023 season. It was an amazing year for the FKC in volleyball. Three conference teams played in the championship match of their respective class. Overton was the state champion in Class D2. SEM met conference rival Amherst in the Class D1 championship match with SEM winning 3-1. Players from those three schools made up the all FKC volleyball first team.
Representing SEM on the all conference first team were Mikah O’Neill and Taryn Arbuthnot. The two players combined for 56 kills in the D1 state championship match. Overton led the way with three first team selections which included JoLee Ryan, Natalie Wood, and Ashlyn Florell. Amherst was represented on the first team by Hannah Herrick and Saryn Prickett.
Jacelyn Hoos of SEM and Kerry Ryan of Ansley/Litchfield were among the players receiving second team honors. Joining them were Jaycee Flood of Pleasanton, Jenna Marsh of Axtell, Brooklyn Wiese of Loomis, Daisy Ryan of Overton, and Josie Loshonkol of Amherst.
Jenna Claflin and Allie Rohde of SEM were third team honorees. Joining them on the third team were Natalie Rasmussen of Pleasanton, Adysen McCarter of Overton, Zeigh Booe of Loomis, Ashley Bauer of Elm Creek, and Ellie Johnson of Axtell.
