High School Football Preview 10/13 – South Loup vs Anselmo-Merna on KBBN / Broken Bow vs Ord on KCNI

It’s a big football Friday around the area today.  Tonight marks the end of the regular season for 8 man football as the playoffs for classes D1 and D2 begin Thursday October 19th.  In the KBBN 8 man area game of the week, the South Loup Bobcats will look to remain undefeated as they host 4-3 Anselmo-Merna tonight in Callaway.  Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com.  Coverage begins with the Consolidated Friday Night Lights pre game show at 6 p.m. with the kickoff scheduled for 7.  Other area matchups scheduled for today include: Twin Loup at Central Valley ; SEM vs Franklin ; Sandhills Valley at Arapahoe ; Burwell at Overton ; Cozad vs Holdrege ; Gothenburg vs Minden ; Ansley/Litchfield at Elm Creek.

The Broken Bow Indians will look to extend their winning streak to seven games tonight as they host rival Ord.  Broken Bow has lost the last seven matchups in the series.  Bow’s last victory against Ord dates back to 2015 when they won 22-17.  Prior to that, Broken Bow had won nine in a row in the series between 2007 and 2015.  Broken Bow enters at 6-1 with their only loss coming to C1 #1 Boone Central in the season opener.  Ord enters at 5-2 with their only losses coming to C2 #1 Norfolk Catholic and C2 #2 Battle Creek.  Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.  Coverage begins with the Custer Federal State Bank pregame show at 6 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 7.
