The Broken Bow girls golf team claimed its fourth straight district championship Wednesday winning the C-4 district title at Indianhead golf course in Grand Island. Broken Bow won the team championship with a low team score of 344 which was two shots better than Minden who finished with a 346. Broken Bow’s Camryn Johnson was the individual champion with a low round of 77 which was one shot better than Minden’s KayLynn Jorgensen who shot a 78 to finish as runner-up. Broken Bow placed three golfers in the top ten with Molly Custer placing 5th with an 84 and Taylor Schaaf finished tied for 6th and 7th with an 88. Skylar Benjamin shot a 95 and Brynn Custer finished with a 104 to round out the Broken Bow scoring.
Broken Bow will now prepare for the Class C girls state golf championships which will take place at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte on Monday (10/9) and Tuesday (10/10). The Lady Indians will be aiming for their fourth straight Class C state team championship.
