Broken Bow’s Paul Brown Field will be the host site for the Class B Area 6 American Legion juniors baseball tournament beginning on Friday. Broken Bow is the #4 seed in the six team tournament and will face #3 seed Gothenburg on Friday night at 7 p.m. The two teams have met twice this season with Gothenburg winning both regular season matchups. Gothenburg shutout Broken Bow 8-0 back on June 20th in Gothenburg and most recently won 6-3 in Broken Bow back on June 27th. The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. A live video stream of the game accompanied by the radio call will be available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express You Tube channel and Facebook page.
Other opening round matchups in the double elimination tournament will include top seed Holdrege vs. Ogallala at 1 pm followed by #2 seed Minden vs McCook at 4 pm.
The area tournament champion will advance to the Class B state tournament which will take place in Alliance beginning July 15th.
