The 2023 NSAA state track and field championships came to their conclusion on Saturday with the final day of competition for classes C and D. The Mullen Broncos finished in a three way tie for the Class D boys team runner up trophy. Plainview won the Class D boys team championship with 53 points. Mullen, Riverside, and Axtell all finished in a tie for second with 33 points. Mullen and Sandhills/Thedford both finished in the top ten of the Class D girls team standings. Mullen tied with Central Valley for 7th with 28 points and Sandhills/Thedford was just one point behind in 9th place with 27 points.
