A Sarpy County snowplow operator was cited on suspicion of failure to yield the right of way Monday following a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Nebraska Highway 370 and Wickersham Boulevard, a Nebraska State Patrol spokesman said.
The collision occurred shortly before 7 p.m. The driver of a 2003 Honda CRX, who was not identified, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigators from the patrol determined that the Honda was eastbound on Highway 370 when a westbound plow made a left turn onto Wickersham Boulevard. The Honda driver attempted to brake but was unable to avoid a collision due to slush on the road, the spokesman said.
The driver of the snowplow, who was not identified, was not injured. Seat belts were in use by both drivers.
