Shooting death of 28-year-old man in Omaha being investigated as a homicide

A 28-year-old man has died after he was shot Sunday evening, Omaha police said Monday.

Police were called to Creighton University Medical Center-University Campus at 9:54 p.m. to investigate a report of a man who was shot. The man, Robert Williams Jr., was taken to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy, where he died of his injuries. Police are investigating Williams’ death as a homicide.
