Search for missing boy enters week two

The water level at an Omaha area lake is being lowered as authorities continue their search for a missing 11-year-old boy with autism.

Ryan Larsen was last seen outside his school in La Vista last Monday, six miles from Walnut Creek Lake in Papillion where searchers spent the last few days concentrating their efforts.

Over the weekend it was announced that the Papio-Missouri Natural Resources District is dropping the lake’s water level by a few feet to allow for better visual and physical access of the water.

First responders from more than 15 law enforcement agencies in the area, including  the FBI, have joined in the effort.
