Public Health Solutions announces all vaccines now offered, at clinics

BEATRICE – Public Health Solutions health district reports the Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are now being offered at all scheduled community clinics. 

PHS, which covers Gage, Jefferson, Saline, Thayer and Fillmore Counties announced that over 40% of the eligible population within the five-county district is now fully vaccinated.  PHS Health Director Kim Showalter says the hope is to reach the 50% level by the end of May.  

Last Thursday, a vaccination clinic was held at the Gage County Fairgrounds for persons receiving their second Moderna vaccination.

The district will be offering all three vaccines at all scheduled clinics, without pre-registration.   Upcoming clinics include this Thursday, May 20th…at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Fairbury…..Thursday, June 3rd at the Fillmore County Fairgrounds in Geneva….and also on June 3rd at the Thayer County Fairgrounds in Deshler.  

All three upcoming clinics have hours between noon and six p.m. 

The Pfizer vaccine is now approved for individuals age 12 and older…while the Johnson and Johnson and Moderna vaccines are approved for 18 and older.  Minors under age 19 must have parent or guardian consent to receive a vaccination.
