Organizers plan largest Christian Cross Festival yet

NORFOLK, Neb. – An annual festival is coming back to northeast Nebraska bigger than ever.

The 17th Christian Cross Festival is kicking off at Skyview Park in Norfolk on June 12.

This year’s line-up has the most national acts brought in ever.

Entertainment is not the only thing event coordinators want people to take away from the festivities.

“Our speakers and our musicians all have a good message to bring,” said Jeff Borer, Prayer Tent Coordinator. “So we’re hoping that people will come and enjoy everything but also listen to the music and listen to the message.”

There will be many activities all day including live entertainment, a kid’s tent with face-painting and temporary tattoos, kayaking, and a prayer tent.

The free event starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. Borer said it ends with the best fireworks show in northeast Nebraska.

Borer encourages people to come out to the first-ever Christian Cross Country Race on June 5 at 7:30 a.m as a way to raise funds for the festival.
