No criminal charges expected after disturbance at Scotts Bluff County Jail

Three inmates in a maximum-security area of the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center got mad at staff members and barricaded themselves in a cell Monday evening.
The inmates possessed a set of handcuffs and a container of urine which they threatened to use against staff, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman said in a release. Once deputies and officers from various law enforcement responded, the situation was peacefully resolved without any injuries or assaults to anyone, the sheriff said.
"They (the deputies) were able to talk them out of the cell," Overman said. The sheriff doesn't anticipate any criminal charges, though the inmates likely broke some jail rules.
The call was received shortly after 7 p.m. and the response was wrapped up by 8:30 p.m.
