Nebraska State Patrol’s first female troop commander is promoted
Maj. Brenda Konfrst
The Nebraska State Patrol's first female troop commander has been promoted, and is now a major in charge of Eastern Field Services.
Maj. Brenda Konfrst will also command the Patrol's Special Operations and Capitol Security/Executive Protection. As a 27-year veteran of the State Patrol, Konfrst had commanded Troop A, headquartered in Omaha, since 2014. She was the only woman commanding an area office.
Konfrst has served in Field and Investigative Services, as a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and as a certified drug recognition expert. She was named Nebraska State Patrol Manager of the Year in 2009 and is a graduate of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Leadership in Police Organizations course, the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, and Creighton University.
The patrol is restructuring to better divide scope of administration throughout the state.
