Nebraska man fatally struck by car, Kansas man arrested for murder

WASHINGTON COUNTY, KS — A Kansas man is suspected of murder after authorities say he intentionally drove over another man.

According to a news release, 32-year-old James Hicok of Steele City, NE was at a house in Hollenberg, KS, Thursday evening.  The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says a car drove by the house several times and Hicok started arguing with the driver, 25-year-old Aaron Milldyke of Hollenberg. Authorities say Milldyke intentionally struck Hicok with the car and drove to a nearby house where he called police.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 400 block of East St. around 5:20 p.m. Hickok was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies arrested Milldyke on suspicion of second-degree murder. He is housed in the Washington County Jail.
