NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - Lourdes Central Catholic students and staff raised $1,000 for hurricane relief efforts in Texas and Florida last Friday. With a $3 donation, students and staff were allowed to dress in Knights "spirit gear." All funds go to Catholic Social Services to provide relief to those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma this month. Lourdes students and staff gathered for the annual outdoor “grotto mass” and sent a virtual hug to fellow catholic school students, teachers and families in Houston. Students also said more than 350 rosaries to offer prayers to those affected by the storms. The theme for this school year at Nebraska City Lourdes is "Love Made Visible."
