Lynyrd Skynyrd is going on a farewell tour.
And it’s stopping at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Oct. 6. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band will embark on a two-year farewell tour that kicks off later this month.
Known for songs such as “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Tuesday’s Gone” and “Simple Man,” among many others, Lynyrd Skynyrd helped popularize Southern rock in the ‘70s. Of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s classic lineup, only Gary Rossington and Rickey Medlocke remain. Lead singer Johnny Van Zant joined the band when it reformed in 1987, 10 years after his brother Ronnie perished in a plane crash.
Tickets go on sale June 15 via Ticketmaster.
