Lincoln Man Sentenced in Human Trafficking Sting

LINCOLN – A Lincoln Man has been sentenced for attempting to entice a minor.

U.S. Attorney Joe Kelly announced that 29-year-old Travis Larkin of Lincoln has been sentenced to 15-and-a-half years in prison and 20-year term of supervised release.

Officials say Larkin had a prior conviction for attempted sexual assault of a minor under the age of 12.

Authorities say that Larkin responded to an online ad to have a sexual encounter with a minor.

He made an agreement with whom he thought was the child’s mother to pay her to have sex with her 15-year-old daughter.

Larkin was intercepted by the FBI and LPD on the way to the hotel where he was to meet the minor.

This case was investigated by the FBI Human Trafficking Task Force and LPD.
