Grant supports Auburn Meals and Wheels

The Auburn Berean Church, Nemaha County Future Fund and Nebraska Community Foundation have teamed up to support the Auburn Meals and Wheels program.

The church’s congregation raised $2,200 and the future fund contributed an additional $500. The future fund donation qualified the $2,700 for matching funds from Nebraska Community Foundation.

On March 26, the organizations presented a $5,400  grant to Auburn Meals on Wheels program.

Seth Bingham, chairman of the Auburn Senior Center, said the Meals and Wheels program was especially important during the coronavirus pandemic to help seniors remain at home and feel more secure, while combating social isolation.

Pastor Ken Clark of the Berean Church said the congregation feels passionately about the essential care provided by Meals and Wheels.
