Easter fire damages Norfolk home

NORFOLK, Neb. — A Norfolk home was damaged after a fire late Sunday.

Norfolk fire officials say the home on Norfolk’s south side caught fire while the family living there was away.

Firefighters said at the scene that a stove had been left on, causing the fire.

The Norfolk Fire Division said at the scene that officials were still assessing the overall damage.

While nobody in the home was hurt, officials say some pets were injured in the fire.
