GIBBON, Neb. — All rail lines are back open following a trail derailment in central Nebraska last Wednesday.
A total of 28 cars of a Union Pacific train went off the tracks near Gibbon on March 31st.
No one was injured, according to Union Pacific, but Pawnee and Range Roads were closed as a result of the derailment. Crossings have since reopened.
Union Pacific says all lines were back open by Friday night. The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
