1 of 11 businesses checked in Keith County sold alcohol to a minor

One business out of 11 checked by authorities last week in western Nebraska's Keith County illegally sold alcohol to a minor. The Nebraska State Patrol conducted the inspections Thursday. All of the businesses checked the minor’s ID, with one selling alcohol anyway, the patrol said. The businesses included convenience stores, restaurants, grocery stores and bars. The business was a Mexican restaurant in Ogallala, the patrol said. Businesses that fail the inspections are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission and the clerks are cited on suspicion of procuring alcohol for a minor, the patrol said.
