GRAND ISLAND – The Islanders made quick work of Lincoln High on Tuesday night.
Facing their second ranked opponent in as many games, Grand Island swept the No. 9 Links 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-16) to improve to 1-1 on the season.
Alexa Blase led the Grand Island with 22 kills and 4 blocks while Sydney Wald also hit double-digit kills with 12. Britni Aguilar and Sam Armstrong each had 8.
Sam Armstrong and Emma Hilderbarand posted 3 blocks while Katie Ellis had 57 assists, and Riley McNelis notched 4 aces serves to lead GI.
The No. 10 Islanders head to the Millard North Invite this weekend.
