WHEN SHARON WASN’T WORKING, SHE LOVED TO READ BOOKS.  IF YOU DROVE BY THE FARM LATE AT NIGHT YOU WERE SURE TO SEE A LIGHT SHINING IN A WINDOW AS SHE JUST COULDN’T PUT HER BOOK DOWN UNTIL SHE READ IT TO THE END.  SHE LOVED DOING CROSSWORD PUZZLES. ITEMS SHE CROCHETED WERE COVETED BY MANY FAMILY MEMBERS.  SHE SPENT MANY, MANY HOURS PIECING TOGETHER HER FAMILY’S GENEOLOGY. SHE ALSO TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN HER PART ON THE COMMUNITY FOR THE MASON CITY COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN. SHE ALSO SEEMED TO TAKE GREAT JOY IN DOING BOOKWORK FOR THE FARM AND DRIVING HERSELF NUTS TO FIND A ONE CENT ERROR IF THEY DID NOT BALANCE.  THE GREATEST OF HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS WAS THE LOVE AND CARE SHE GAVE TO ALL OF US, HER FAMILY.
