Richard F. McCarty age 72, of Merna, NE passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2018, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Broken Bow, NE with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Dale Catholic Cemetery west of Merna, NE with Military Honors. Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Govier Brothers Mortuary from 1 to 8 PM. Richard was born October 11, 1945, to Richard and Frances (Besley) McCarty.
Richard McCarty is survived by 2 daughters Melissa (Brandon) Babers of Oldsmar, Florida, Tina Davis of Merna, NE., 4 grandchildren Tyler McCarty of Omaha, Heather Davis of Omaha, Austin Davis of Merna, and Blake Babers of Oldsmar, FL. 1 great-granddaughter Zoey Weinmaster of Omaha, 1 sister Laura (Bill) Mannel of Anselmo, NE., brothers Larry (Fran) McCarty of Rockford, IL., Charles (Vicki) McCarty of North Platte, NE., and Vic (Sandy) McCarty of Lincoln, NE. Special Friend Terrie Seitsinger of Merna, and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elizabeth, brother-in-law Lilburn, and nephew Jeff McCarty.
