Janelle Blakely, 53, of Dunning, NE., passed away March 20, 2018, in Callaway, NE.

Funeral Services for Janelle Blakely will be on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 10:30 AM at St. Anselm’s Catholic Church in Anselmo, NE with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. Anselm’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial are suggested to the Family. Govier Brothers are in charge of arrangements or you can go online at www.govierbrothers.com.

Janelle was born on January 29, 1965, to Lowell and Norma (Sorensen) Blakely, Janelle grew up in Dunning and graduated from Dunning High School in 1983. She graduated from LPN school at Mid Plains Community College in North Platte and began a lifelong career of caring for others. 

Janelle worked in several nursing homes in Nebraska before moving to California to work as a home health care provider.  She returned back to Nebraska living in Cairo, Ne. working at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. She then moved to Denver and worked for Denver Health. 

Janelle moved back to Nebraska to help care for her parents. During that time, she worked at Callaway Medical Clinic in Callaway. She enjoyed spending time gambling at several area gambling resorts. She doted over her nieces and nephew as they meant the world to her. Her sole purpose in life was to be an amazing caregiver and friend to all of her family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all. 

She is survived by her mother, Norma of Dunning, sisters Janet Blakely of North Platte, Janene Fournier of Denver, brothers Bob and Monica (Huhman) Blakely of Anselmo, Brian and Carly (Rickertsen) Blakely of Kearney, three nieces Lilli, Maizy and Stella Blakely of Kearney, nephew Jake Fournier of Denver, two step-nephews Koby and his wife Katie of Marsland, Nebraska, and Kyle Huhman of Broken Bow. 

She was preceded in death by her father Lowell Blakely of Dunning, grandparents Emery and Helen Blakely and Paul and Gertrude Sorensen.
