The Broken Bow Spirit girls fastpitch softball teams are hoping to have the opportunity to play some games yet this summer.  The COVID-19 situation has all sports competition on hold for the moment.  Ryan Coleman who helps with the Broken Bow Spirit softball program told KCNI/KBBN radio that USA Softball of Nebraska has not cancelled any post season tournaments at this time but have pushed them back to a later date.

Coleman also serves as vice president of the local DYO board which organizes the baseball and softball programs for area youth.  He said that everything is on hold for now and the organization is taking its lead from the American Legion and USA Softball.  He said that they are hopeful that some games will be able to be played sometime this summer.
