The NSAA has set the state football playoff brackets. First round games in Class D1 and D2 will take place Thursday (Oct. 25). In Class D1, Burwell is the top seed on the west side of the bracket and will host Palmer in the first round. South Loup is the #2 seed in the west and will host Ansley/Litchfield in round one. The game will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. Arcadia/Loup City is in the D1 field as the #5 seed in the west. The Rebels will meet Elm Creek again. The two played last Friday to conclude the regular season with Arcadia/Loup City coming out on top.
In Class D2, Mullen is the top seed in the west and will host Paxton in the first round. Sandhills/Thedford is the #5 seed in the west and will host Bertrand on Thursday. Twin Loup is in the D2 field and will go on the road to play the #2 in the west, Kenesaw.
SEM makes the six-man playoffs as the #12 seed and will travel to play Hyannis on Friday. The game will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. In Class C1, Gothenburg is the #8 seed and will host West Point-Beemer on Friday.
