The South Loup girls and boys track teams took part in the Mike Troxel track invite held in Hershey on Saturday. The South Loup girls finished in third just 3 points behind North Platte St. Pat’s for second and the South Loup boys finished 6th in the final team standings. Chase County won both the girls and boys team titles.
Among the highlights for South Loup, Abby Stallbaumer won the girls discus with an effort of 109’7.5″. Halie Recoy claimed a runer-up finish in both the 100 (13.527) and the 200 (27.86). Landyn Cole was runner in both distance races placing 2nd in the 1600 (5:58.711) and in the 3200 (13:00.689). Bryn Schwarz was runner-up in the 400 (1:06.301) and South Loup was runner-up in both the girls 4×100 and 4×400 meter relays. Logan Recoy was runner-up in the boys 1600 (5:06.568) and the team of Cache Gracey, Logan Recoy, Lance Jones, and Rio Remund placed first in the 4×800 meter relay in a winning time of 9:00.358.
