South Loup and Mullen will play in the state volleyball district finals on Saturday. The Lady Bobcats advanced to the C2-8 district title match by winning the C2-11 sub district title over Amherst 3-1 this past Tuesday. South Loup will play Battle Creek for the right to advance to the state tournament next week in Lincoln. The match is scheduled for 6pm at Central Valley High School in Greeley. The match will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com with coverage beginning around 5:45pm. The other C2 district finals will feature : Superior vs Crofton ; Stanton vs Bridgeport ; Blue Hill vs Centennial ; Thayer Central vs Wisner-Pilger ; Hartington Cedar Catholic vs Burwell ; Hastings St. Cecilia vs Palmyra and Doniphan Trumbull vs Freeman.
Mullen will play Crawford for the D2-3 district championship on Saturday. Mullen advanced to the district title by winning the D2-9 sub district title. The match is scheduled for 3pm (mountain time) at Alliance high school. The other D2 district finals will include : Ewing vs Garden County ; BDS vs Maywood-Hayes Center ; Wynot vs Hyannis ; Exeter-Milligan vs Bertrand ; CWC vs Humphrey St. Francis ; Cody-Kilgore vs Mead ; and Falls City Sacred Heart vs Kenesaw.
