SEM Ends Season in Round 1 of Six Man Playoffs ; Gothenburg Advances in C1

The SEM Mustangs saw their football season come to an end Friday in round one of the 6 man playoffs. The Mustangs fell the #5 seed Hyannis 70-30. Kobee Olson ran for 5 touchdowns to help Hyannis advance in the playoffs. SEM was led by Tennyson Williams who threw for 4 touchdowns. Jacob Sleicher had 3 receiving touchdowns and Preston Stieb the other as SEM concludes the year at 4-5. Hyannis will play Minatare in the in the quarterfinals as Minatare rolled over Walthill 81-20.

In Class C1, Gothenburg advanced with a win over West Point-Beemer. The Swedes advance to the quarterfinals where they will meet the top seed Aurora who won big over Arlington 61-6. Ord also advanced to the C1 quarterfinals with a 52-21 win over Sidney.
