The Nebraska Schools Activities Association has released the pairings and brackets for the boys sub district basketball tournaments which begin next week.
Broken Bow will play in the C1-10 sub district tournament in St. Paul. Bow is the #4 seed and will open against Ord on Monday (2/22) with the winner advancing to play the top seed St. Paul on Tuesday (2/23) followed by Central City against Centura. Tuesday’s winners will play on Thursday in the sub final. All of Broken Bow’s sub district games will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.
Burwell is the top seed and will host the D1-10 sub district. Burwell will face Anselmo-Merna on Tuesday (2/23) with the winner advancing to play the winner of #2 Ansley/Litchfield vs #3 South Loup in the sub district final on Thursday (2/25). All games from the D1-10 sub district tournament will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com
SEM is the #2 seed at the D2-8 sub district in Loomis. SEM will open against Pleasanton on Tuesday (2/23). Loomis is the top seed and will play the winner of Monday’s game between Overton and Wilcox-Hildreth.
Mullen is the top seed and host of the D2-10 sub district tournament. Mullen will open against Arthur County with the winner advancing out to play the winner of Hyannis vs Paxton.
Sandhills/Thedford and Sandhills Valley will both play in the D1-11 sub district tournament. Sandhills/Thedford is the #5 seed and will play the #4 seed Sandhills Valley on Monday with the winner advancing to play top seed North Platte St. Pat’s. Maxwell is the #2 seed and will play #3 Maywood Hayes Center on Tuesday (2/23).
Twin Loup will compete at the D2-5 sub district tournament at Elgin High School. The Wolves are the #3 seed and will play against Spalding Academy on Tuesday (2/23). Elgin Public/Pope John is the top seed and will play the winner of Monday’s game between Chambers Wheeler Central and Elba.
