NSAA Board of Directors Meet – Plan to Start High School Fall Sports Remains Intact

The Nebraska Schools Activities Association board of directors met in regular session Wednesday and NO changes were made to its return to play plan for high school fall sports.  Softball and girls golf will be able to start competition as scheduled and the first four football games in the state can be played as scheduled on Friday.

According to the Omaha World Herald, the NSAA board discussed the situation of the Omaha Public Schools not having sports for at least the district’s first quarter, which ends Oct. 16. Omaha Burke cross country parent Alan Hauschild voiced his concerns during the public comment portion of the meeting. The board’s general sentiment was that participation decisions should be determined locally.
