The Mid Nebraska Activities Conference basketball tournament begins today with opening round games in both the Loup Valley and Sandhills divisions. In the Sandhills division, opening round games will be played today in Mullen. The day begins with girls action as Cody Kilgore takes on Arthur County followed by Hyannis vs McPherson County. The day will then conclude with an opening round boys game when Cody-Kilgore takes on Arthur County. Opening round games in the Loup Valley division will be played in Callaway today. Game 1 features Ansley/Litchfield vs Stapleton (boys) followed by Anselmo-Merna vs Stapleton (girls). Game 3 will feature Brady vs Twin Loup in girls action and the day will conclude with Brady vs Twin Loup in an opening round boys game. All of today’s Loup Valley division first round games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com
The Southwest Conference basketball tournament also begins today. The Broken Bow boys and girls will both host opening round games tonight at the Indian gym. The Lady Indians will host Cozad at 6pm followed by Broken Bow vs Minden in boys action. Tonight’s Broken Bow games will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com. Other opening round games tonight in the SWC tournament include : Ogallala vs Valentine (boys) ; Cozad vs McCook (boys) ; Ainsworth vs Gothenburg (boys) ; Ogallala vs Ainsworth (girls) ; Gothenburg vs McCook ; Minden vs Valentine (girls)
