Area athletes competed at the Ainsworth Cross Country Invite on Thursday. West Holt won the boys team title followed by Ainsworth as runner-up and Mullen placed third. Mullen’s Trevor Kuncl was the boys individual champion in a winning time of 17:14. Hayden Jennings of Mullen finished in the top five placing 4th (19:00.04). Top Burwell finish was turned in by Tell Jensen who finished 20th (21:03). Daniel Folker turned in the top time for Twin Loup placing 24th in a time of 21:19.6 and Brayden Schaefer was the top finisher for Sandhills/Thedford placing 34th (22:37.8)
The girls team title went to Ainsworth. Mullen’s Callie Coble was the girls individual champion in a winning time of 20:14.6. Josey French of Mullen placed 4th (22:16.02). Top Burwell finisher was Jymmie Jensen who was 11th (23:04.54). Dayle Haake of Sandhills/Thedford was 15th (23:59.3) and Gracie Conrad of Twin Loup was 27th (26:55.57)
