High School Football Scores 10/11

Twin Loup collected its second win of the season Friday night. In a game broadcast on KBBN, the Wolves were able to pull away in the second half from Clearwater Orchard. The game was tied at 12 at the half. In the third quarter, Twin Loup quaterback Quade Young scored on a 3 yard TD run to break the tie and then, with 2:36 to go in the third, Twin Loup took advantage of a bad snap by Cleawater/Orchard on a punt which Twin Loup recovered in the end zone to make the score 25-12. Each team would score a touchdown in the 4th as the Wolves hang on for a 31-18 victory. Cooper Coons finished (unofficially) with 139 yards rushing on 16 carries and 1 touchdown. Cooper’s twin brother Colby ran for two touchdowns as the Wolves improve to 2-4 on the season.

Broken Bow fell to top ten ranked Ord Friday night. The Chanticleers scored on every possession they had in the first half as they built a 40-0 at halftime. The Indians kept fighting in the second half. Blake Denson connected with Mykael Stoddard on Broken Bow’s first play of the second half for an 80 yard touchdown pass. Later in the half, Denson would connect with Lathan Duda for a touchdown. Final score Ord 54 Broken Bow 15. Broken Bow will host O’Neill next Friday at Mark Russell Field.
