The Fort Kearny Conference Basketball Tournament continued yesterday with girls quarterfinal action. Top seed Pleasanton defeated Ansley Litchfield 65-9. Pleasanton advances to the semifinals where they will play Overton who knocked off SEM Monday 55-35. The #2 seed Elm Creek defeated Amherst 47-26 to advance. Elm Creek will play Loomis in the semifinals as Loomis got by Wilcox Hildreth 46-41. The semifinals will take place Thursday at the Viaero Center in Kearney.
The boys quarterfinals will be played today. Ansley/Litchfield is the #5 seed and will play Amherst today in Pleasanton at 6pm. That will be followed by the top seed Pleasanton against Hi-Line at 7:30. In the other quarterfinal matchups, Loomis will host SEM at 7:30 tonight. The Mustangs advanced to the quarterfinal round with a win over Wilcox-Hildreth on Saturday. The other quarterfinal will feature Elm Creek against Axtell.
