Football Friday – 10/2

It will be another busy football Friday around the area today.  Broken Bow will be on the road tonight as they travel to face the Kearney Catholic Stars.  Kearney Catholic is 3-1 this season and is ranked #8 this week in Class C1 by the Omaha World Herald.  The Stars are led by Nebraska quarterback recruit Heinrich Haarberg who is averaging 169 yards passing per game with 6 TD’s and one interception.  Broken Bow is coming off their first win of the season.  The Indians completed a dramatic comeback against O’Neill last Friday winning in overtime 41-33.  Bow was led by Frazier Kaelin last week who finished with 176 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns.  Coach Carlie Wells told KCNI/KBBN Sports that he has been pleased with the never give up attitude of this year’s team and that attitude certainly showed last week.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.  Coverage begins with the Custer Federal State Bank Friday Night Lights pregame show at 6pm with the kickoff scheduled for 7pm.
