The Broken Bow Spirit 14U and 16/18U teams will begin play in the Class C girls state softball tournament on Friday. The double elimination tournament will take place at the Nebraska USA Softball Complex in Hastings.
The Bow Spirit 14U team will begin play Friday at 4:30 against St. Paul with the winner advancing out to play the South Sioux City Storm at 8 pm Friday.
Broken Bow will have two teams competing in the 16/18U division. The Bow Spirit Blue will open play against the David City Blue Blaze Friday afternoon at 2:45 with the winner advancing out to play Wakefield at 6:15 pm Friday. The Spirit White will face Lawrence at 4:30 Friday afternoon with the winner advancing out in the winner’s bracket to play Saturday afternoon. The Spirit White and Lawrence faced each other just last weekend with Lawrence edging the Spirit 7-6.
