Broken Bow Spirit Falls to Cozad in Doubleheader

The Broken Bow Spirit 18U girls softball team fell to Cozad in a doubleheader on Thursday.  In game one, Cozad erupted for 7 runs in the first inning to take control early.  The Bow Spirit would score two runs in the second but the early Cozad lead was too much to overcome as Cozad added two more runs in the 4th to make the final score 9-2.  Each team had 7 hits in the game.  Dalila Griffiths was 1 for 2 with 1 RBI and Gracyn Hicks was 1 for 2 with a run scored to help lead the Spirit offense.

In game two, the Spirit scored first as Kennedy Garcia drove in Dalila Griffiths to give Broken Bow a 1-0 lead at the end of the first.  That would be the only run the Spirit would push across as Cozad came back to score 4 runs in the 2nd and 1 more in the third to secure the win by a final score of 5-1.
