Broken Bow Ready for Class C Boys State Golf Championships

The 2018 NSAA Boys state golf championships begin today. State golf is a two day 36 hole tournament. With a 2nd place team finish at the C-4 district meet last week, the Broken Bow boys golf team will take its full squad to compete at today’s Class C championship at the Kearney Country Club. Today’s opening round will tee off at 9:30 this morning. Broken Bow will have two golfers teeing off at that time. Cole Ulmer will be in the first group to tee off hole #1 and Josh Harvey will be in the first group to tee off hole #10. Jared Kahnk will tee off hole #1 at 9:50 and Spencer Gaffney is scheduled to tee off hole #10 at 9:40. Broken Bow’s Griffin Wright will be in the 2nd to last group to tee off hole #1 at 11:10 this morning. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will be in Kearney to follow the progress of the Broken Bow team. Reports can be heard throughout the day on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com.

The Class D championship will be played at Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte. Jace Leibhart of Anselmo-Merna and Koby Walker of Mullen will be among the participants. Leibhart is scheduled to tee off his opening round on hole #1 at 11am followed by Walker in the next group at 11:10.

The Class B Championship is at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus. Dillon Geiser and Adam Cole of Cozad will compete with Cole scheduled to tee off at 10:40am and Geiser is scheduled to tee off at 11am.
