Broken Bow Girls Golf Team Claims C4 District Championship

The Broken Bow girls golf team continued its outstanding 2020 season by claiming the C4 district championship at Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island on Tuesday. The Lady Indians won the tournament with an impressive team score of 353. Minden was second with a 400 and GICC was third with a 401. All five Broken Bow golfers placed in the top ten of the district. Camryn Johnson led the way for Broken Bow as she was runner-up in the district with an 81. That was just one shot behind district champion Angela Messere of GICC who shot an 80. Broken Bow’s Emery Custer placed 5th with an 87, Madison Jackson placed 7th with a 90 and Avery Campbell and Graycee Oeltjen each shot a 95 to finish 9th and 10th. Broken Bow now qualifies for the Class C state tournament which will take place next Monday and Tuesday at the Elks Country Club in Columbus.
