The Broken Bow Lady Indians volleyball team went 2-1 and placed fifth at the annual Lexington Invitational volleyball tournament Saturday. Broken Bow fell to St. Paul in the opening round 25-6, 25-18 but bounced back with straight set wins over North Platte St. Pat’s 25-22, 25-19 and Lexington 25-16, 25-7. St. Paul went on to win the tournament with straight set wins over Hastings in the semifinals and Chase County in the championship match. Hastings defeated Holdrege in straight sets to place third and Hershey def. NPSP in straight sets in the 7th place match. Broken Bow is now 5-1 on the season and will host Cozad and North Platte St. Pat’s for a triangular on Thursday which will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM.
