The Broken Bow boys cross country team placed 2nd at the Ravenna Cross Country Invite on Thursday. Gibbon won the boys team title with Broken Bow 2nd and Doniphan-Trumbull was 3rd. Broken Bow placed 5 runners in the top 20. Lane Russell was 6th (19:03.9), Garret Phillips 7th (19:09.3), Ryan Beck 8th (19:28.9), Daine Wardyn 14th (20:04.1), and Casey Faulkenberry was 16th (20:12.5). Collin Arehart of Ansley/Litchfield placed 20th (20:47.5). The boys individual champion was Nathan Holcomb of Gibbon in a winning time of 18:34.1
The girls team title was won by Kearney Catholic. Ravenna was second with Gibbon 3rd, Arcadia/Loup City 4th, and Broken Bow was 5th. The girls individual champion was Michaela Kelly of Burwell in a winning time 20:23.7. Arcadia / Loup City placed to runners in the top 20. Alicia Rhoads was 14th (24:56.8) and Katie Heyen was 17th (25:10.0). Broken Bow was led by Ryen Haines who was 21st (25:42.8) and McKenna Palmer was 22nd (25:43).
