The brackets have been released for the State American Legion Baseball Tournaments beginning Saturday.
The Class A (National Division) State Seniors tournament will take place in Columbus. First round games will feature : Kearney Runza vs. Burke Black C&H Construction ; Millard South 52’s Patriots vs. Columbus Cornerstone Insurance ; Papillion Pinnacle Bank vs. Lincoln SW Pinnacle Bank ; and Grand Island Home Federal vs. Creighton Prep Five Points Bank. The Class A (American Division) State Seniors tournament will be played at Elkhorn. First round games include : Hastings Five Points Bank vs. Woodhouse Storm Post 211 ; DJ’s Dugout West vs. Gretna Post 216 ; Westside KB Building Services vs. Pius X Union Bank ; and Elkhorn OrthoNebraska vs. Millard West Roof Tech. The Class A State Juniors Tournament will be played at Omaha Burke. First round games include : Kearney Post 52 vs. Papillion Post 32 ; KB Building Service vs. Grand Island Five Points Bank ; Big Fred’s Mustangs vs. Vermeer Highplains ; and C&H Construction vs. Woodhouse Storm Navy. The Class B State Seniors Tournament will take place at Wayne this year. First round games include : Alliance vs. Hickman ; Bennington vs. McCook ; Springfield Prime Time Sports vs. Wahoo ; and Wayne vs. Lincoln Lutheran Post 3. The Class C American Legion Seniors State Tournament will be played in Albion. Saturday’s matchups will include : Gordon-Rushville vs. Creighton ; David City vs. Alma ; Pender vs. DCB ; and Albion vs. Wilber.
