Boys Sub District Basketball Area Recap and Schedule for Tuesday Games

The Amherst Broncos got by Burwell 53-41 Monday night at the C2-9 boys sub district tournament in Broken Bow. Amherst advances to play top seed South Loup Tuesday night at 6pm. That game will be followed by Arcadia/Loup City vs. Ravenna at 7:30pm. Both games will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com with coverage beginning around 5:45.

At the D1-10 Sub at Kearney Catholic, Ansley/Litchfield defeated Pleasanton Monday night 61-39. The Spartans will play top seed Overton Tuesday night at 6pm followed by Elm Creek vs. Twin Loup at 7:30 pm

Spalding Academy defeated Elba 48-31 Monday night at the D2-6 Sub district at Greeley. Spalding Academy will play top seed Riverside Tuesday at 6pm followed by SEM vs. Anselmo-Merna at 7:30.

Stapleton and McPherson County went to double overtime Monday night at the D2-10 sub district at North Platte St. Pat’s. The Broncos picked up their first win of the season with a 38-35 victory. Stapleton will play top seed Mullen Tuesday night at 6pm at North Platte St. Pat’s followed by Arthur County vs. Sandhills/Thedford at 7:30.

Ogallala got by Gothenburg 65-52 at the C1-11 Sub district at North Platte High School. Ogallala will play Cozad Tuesday night at 6pm followed by Chase County vs. Hershey at 7:30.

The Broken Bow Indians begin play at the C1-6 Sub district in Burwell Tuesday night. Bow is the top seed in the tournament and will face Ord at 6pm. The game will be broadcast live on KCNI 96.3 FM, 1280 AM, and kcni1280.com with coverage scheduled to begin at 5:45pm. O’Neill will face Boone Central / Newman Grove in the 2nd game at 7:45pm.

Winners will play each other in the sub district final on Thursday.
