The Burwell Longhorns boys basketball team played its final game of the season Friday as they faced North Platte St. Pat’s in the Class D1 3rd place consolation game at the boys state basketball tournament. The game was tied at half but St. Pat’s was able to pull away in the 2nd half for a 69-56 victory. The Irish were led by Joseph Heirigs who had a career high 26 points in the game. Burwell finishes the season at 25-2.
