Boys Area Sub District Recap

The Broken Bow Indians advanced to the C1-6 sub district final with a 54-45 win over Ord Tuesday night in Burwell. Broken Bow trailed by 3 going into the fourth quarter but outscored Ord 18-6 in the 4th to secure the win. Broken Bow was led by Padyn Borders who finished with a game high 19. Tanner Linn added 12 and Mason McMeen also finished in double figures with 10 for the Indians who improved to 22-2 on the season. Next up for Bow is Boone Central / Newman Grove who knocked off the #2 seed O’Neill 63-47. Broken Bow will meet the Cardinals for the sub district title Thursday night in Burwell. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7pm and will be broadcast live on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.

The top two seeds will meet Thursday for the C2-9 sub district title in Broken Bow. Top seed South Loup ran past Amherst 84-56 while the #2 seed Arcadia/Loup City held off Ravenna 72-59. Thursday’s sub district final will tip off at 6pm. The game will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com

Ansley/Litchfield continued its post season run as the Spartans knocked off top seed Overton 71-68 at the D1-10 sub district at Kearney Catholic. The Spartans will face Elm Creek Thursday in the sub district final as the Buffaloes defeated Twin Loup 61-52.

Anselmo-Merna will play Riverside for the D2-6 sub district championship Thursday at Greeley. AM defeated SEM 55-39 and top seed Riverside defeated Spalding Academy 72-37.

At the D2-10 sub district at North Platte St. Pat’s, top seed Mullen defeated Stapleton 70-23 and Sandhills/Thedford defeated Arthur County 58-42. The Broncos and Knights will meet for the sub district title on Thursday.

It was not good to be the higher seed at the C1-11 sub district at North Platte High School. Ogallala knocked off top seed Cozad 65-54 and the #3 seed Chase County defeated the #2 seed Hershey 65-55. Ogallala will meet Chase County for the sub district title on Thursday.
