Bow Falls 20-19 to Ogallala on Homecoming Night

The Broken Bow Indians football team dropped to 1-2 on the season after a heartbreaking 1 point loss to Ogallala on homecoming night Friday. Ogallala jumped out early by scoring on the first 2 offensive drives to take a 12-0 lead. However, Bow would respond with a 48 yard touchdown drive capped off by a 6 yard touchdown run by Cole Ulmer to make the score 12-6. Then, with 1:13 left in the 2nd quarter, Grayson Garey would connect with Josh Harvey on an 11 yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 12 at halftime. In the second half, Bow would take the lead in the 4th quarter on a 72 yard touchdown drive capped off by a 1 yard Grayson Garey run. The point after was good to put Bow in front 19-12. This time it was Ogallala’s turn to respond as they put together a 68 yard drive that ended with a 4 yard touchdown run by Cameron Raffaeli to make the score 19-18 with 4:47 left in the 4th quarter. Ogallala decided to go for 2 and the lead. Dylan Zink was able to run it in for the conversion to put Ogallala ahead by one. Bow was unable to answer on the ensuing drive and Ogallala held on for the one point win. Bow will travel to Chadron next week.
