Broken Bow high school senior Avery Campbell officially signed her letter of intent Wednesday to play golf at the college level for the College of St. Mary in Omaha. Campbell was a member of the Broken Bow girls golf team which won the Class C state championship this season. Campbell shot a 99 on day two of the tournament to help her team capture the title. Avery told KCNI/KBBN sports that she credits the improvement in her short game to getting her to a point of being able to compete at the college level.
The head coach of the College of St. Mary girls golf program was on hand for the signing and shared with Central Nebraska’s Sports Source what made Campbell a good addition to the program.
