Area Teams Appear in OWH Top Ten Rankings

Teams in the KCNI/KBBN coverage area make an appearance in the Omaha World Herald top ten rankings for high school football and volleyball. The Sandhills/Thedford Knights remain in the Class D2 football top ten according to the publication. The Knights are off to a 2-0 start having outscored their opponents 108-6. The Knights host Hyannis this week. Falls City Sacred Heart remains #1 in D2. Burwell holds on to its #2 ranking in D1 behind top rated Dundy County Stratton. In Class C1, Cozad holds at #7. Wayne moves up to #1 this week in Class C1. Other top rated teams include: Omaha Westside – Class A ; Waverly – Class B ; Oakland Craig – Class C2 ; McCool Junction – Six Man

In volleyball, Mullen moves into the Class D2 top ten. The Lady Broncos are off to a 4-0 start and enter the rankings at #7. Diller-Odell is top ranked in the class. Other top rated teams include: Papillion-LaVista South – Class A ; Omaha Skutt – Class B ; Wahoo – Class C1 ; Norfolk Lutheran – Class C2 ; Pleasanton – Class D1
