Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will present a special doubleheader of high school football today on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. Coverage begins this afternoon when South Loup hosts Sandhills/Thedford in Arnold. The Knights enter today’s game undefeated and ranked in the top ten of Class D2 by the Omaha World Herald while the South Loup Bobcats are still looking for their first win of the season. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 3pm. Tonight’s area game of the week will feature Twin Loup at Ansley/Litchfield. The Spartans are 2-2 this season. Last season Ansley/Litchfield had a young team that was forced to grow up on the field. Coach Kurt Kulhanek talks about the growth of his team from last year to this year.
Twin Loup is still looking for its first win of the season. Coach Mike Kozeal told KCNI/KBBN sports that he felt his team took a step forward in their game last week against Sandhills/Thedford as they work at controlling what they can control.
